Nikko AM, one of Asia’s largest fund management firms, offers investment solutions for both institutions and everyday investors. Their New Zealand team approached Engaging Partners to redesign GoalsGetter — a direct-to-consumer fintech platform (web app), as well as their consumer facing website. Challenge
After 12 months in market, GoalsGetter showed steady performance but struggled to engage users. The app was clunky, not mobile-optimised, and was losing traction. Nikko AM wanted to reinvigorate the platform with a stronger brand identity and UI, better usability, and more intuitive journeys to attract and retain customers.

Process
Key user journeys were mapped and detailed user flows created, which were tested and iterated based on feedback.
In-person user testing validated improvements such as goal creation customisation and highlighted the importance of clear feedback throughout the different journeys.
A refreshed UI and design system were developed elevating the product, ensuring brand consistency across both the app and website.

Solution
The redesigned app and website launched with a new visual identity, bespoke illustrations, and carefully crafted content. Functional use of colour highlighted actions and provided visual feedback, while the app delivered a more user friendly experience with step-by-step flows and a mobile-optimised experience.
